My thoughts on the quote, "I think, therefore I am," by Rene Descartes are pretty straight forward. Some scientists are making theories doubting this quote saying, "Oh, we aren't real and are all figments of our imagination even though we perceive ourselves to be real, or we are part of some sort of matrix!" but I for one, believe this quote is true. What I think it means is that if we believe hard enough in something, don't have sufficient evidence to prove otherwise, and by our logic would seem true, it is true. Examples are if we are alive or not. I seem to be alive, having all the characteristics of one to be alive. I'm breathing, I'm sentient, and I need energy to survive. I have no further evidence to prove that I am not, and by my logic, why wouldn't I be alive? I think I am alive, therefore I am alive.
